Jakarta Street Food: Cubit Cakes

Here’s another commonly seen snack food.  I have to say I haven’t seen the ‘nests’ before, well, not that I can remember.  The nests would be better if he cooked them until they were crisp, but I would buy them anyway.

Notice the container the vendor keeps his chocolate sprinkles in?  An old face cream jar.  I assume there’s no face cream left in there, but somehow it’s a bit off-putting.

I’m glad I brought back some happy memories. Strange how things never taste as good as they used to.
